They will say it with such conviction that they even talk themselves into believing that it is the Gospel truth.  Well, as my favorite president often said, "Here we go again!!"  This time it is with Congressional Candidate in Arizona's CD$, Janet Contreras. Someone told someone who told someone else that Janet wrote a letter to Glenn Beck and that someone said that that was the only reason that she was on the ticket.  How devastating!  Unfortunately for the storytellers, this is only part of the story. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The rest of the story is that Janet Contreras wrote a letter to Congress attempting to reach out to express her disappointment with her Congressional representation, using her first amendment right of free speech.  This letter ended up on the Glenn Beck program because of its passion and the way it expressed what so many of us feel. She has been involved in local issues in her community for years, always taking a leadership role.  As a business woman, she knows what it takes to create a job.  As a mom, she knows what it takes to take care of a family.  All of these elements came together and at the right time made it possible for her to enter the race for the Congressional seat.  She won her primary. No longer seen as only essential behind the scenes, women have brought their talents and ideas to the national stage. &lt;br /&gt;Notice how I have said women and have excluded those who profess the DemocRAT philosophy because I do not see them acting from their own passion and purpose.  Rather they are mere cover for a darker philosophy of progressivism where no individual thrives--only groups exist.  Remember the famous quote: "It takes a village to raise a child"? Fortunate are we that that "spokesperson" has so far only be able to be a co-president. What I am talking about are real flesh and blood women who have been a part of the oft maligned flyover country.  They have reared children, attended PTAs, baked for bake sales while holding down jobs--many in corporate settings. &lt;br /&gt;Today we have real people, citizen candidates, who are willing to stand for us in our House.  Let me tell you about one of them in Arizona, Janet Contreras.  She is a mom, an employee, but most of all a proud American.  She got so upset that she wrote to Glenn Beck.  And surprise, surprise...he read her letter...on the air.  This launched her campaign for the US House of Representatives in Arizona's congressional district 4. She is as real as the Arizona desert, and as tough as the creatures who thrive in this environment. budget'/><title type='text'>It's Still The Economy Stupid!</title><content type='html'>Just learned yesterday that Arizona is the second poorest state in the Union.  God Bless Mississippi! What does this say about the work environment here?  It says it doesn't exist.  With true unemployment in Arizona somewhere between 17 and 25% it should be the only issue that matters.  Unless we get our focus on making substantive changes to the way business is done in this state, not one of the other issues will make it to the table---all rely on financing. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;History is instructive if paid attention to.  All of the previous bubbles and economic downturns in our history are followed by a war.  Why?  A roadside distraction that keeps the folks from seeing the men behind the curtain pulling the handle on the printing presses and dishing out monopoly money to their cronies. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;States since Jackson can't print their own currency, but they can control their own destiny by taking the bold step to cut spending and reduce taxes so there is more capitol available for the markets.  Give business a free ride into town and they won't leave. Women want to be women.  How do I know?  Because I am a member of the fairer sex and have been perplexed over the years at the attempts by some to destroy the gender, to defame, debase, and devalue (sounds like currency, doesn't it?) what God created.  In the true spirit of George Orwell's 1984, the language of the destroyers sounds so nice: feminism, equality, fairness.  But as in Orwell the language merely is a ruse to cover true meaning: feminism=masculinity, equality=slavery, fairness=protected class.  The most debased is the misuse of the term "rights".  By a little manipulation here and a little tweaking here, rights are decoupled from God-given and are hitched to man made.  So now in a "penumbra of meaning" the Supremes discovered a "right" to murder in the US Constitution. Strange when the founding document said something about LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?&lt;br /&gt;So back to the original premise of this blog: women really want to be women.  They want to do the things that come naturally and be valued for them. &lt;br /&gt;One closing thought.  If you have a five year old boy and a five year old girl playing in the backyard and you give them each a stick to play with, the boy will turn it into a gun and the girl will devise some form of cooking tool.  Don't believe me? Try it. week from today will mark the beginning of the fall election season.  Labor Day has been the traditional starting block for the fall campaigns and yet it appears as if we are in a never-ending story of running for office.  One sign comes down and another goes up.  One white shirt, red tie, and gray suit replaces another. No wonder the voters are apathetic.  The candidates might as well be in a Charlie Brown cartoon where the adults utterances are unintelligible to the kids.  In this case, it is to the voters. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have one idea that may make this change.  How about trying some leadership for a change?  You know, good ol' fashioned leadership.  I was watching one of Ronald Reagan's speeches on YouTube to remind myself what leadership looked like.  He was funny, intelligent, but never demeaning.  He told the truth.  He stated clearly what was going on and most importantly he told people what he would do to correct the mess.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I watched Beck and Palin this weekend with the same stuff: leadership.  You can't bottle and sell it.  You have to have it in yourself. They would croon on and on about how the evil rich folks were making a fortune off their backs and how the holier than thou Dems would make sure that the people would get what they were entitled to once the rich were soaked.  So they got in power.  But guess what?  Instead of taking care of the folks, they bailed out the fat cats. rewrote regulations to favor the rich and powerful and exempted themselves from having to partake in Obamacare, and started ripping off the little guys calling them greedy and selfish by increasing all kinds of taxes and fees &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;("Tax and spend, tax and spend, the people are too damn dumb to understand." Col. House to FDR) &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now it is election season.  Their fearless leader is AWOL on countless vacations and golf games.  If he shows up to campaign, it is the kiss of death for that candidate.  To make matters worse, the Republicans are telling the truth to Democrat voters.  They are unabashedly converting them to vote Republican.  All you have to do is look at the unemployment rate, the decrease in the value of savings, and no end it site to make a compelling case for switching.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: verdana;"&gt;One of the most devastating trends for the Dems is that intelligent Black conservatives have found their voice and are encouraging others to leave the Democrat Plantation.  In almost a fever pitch of fear the Dems are calling up the usual suspects to protest the Glenn Beck event this weekend&lt;/span&gt; in DC.  &lt;span style="font-family: verdana;"&gt;With promises to disrupt the event and block people from attending, the Dems are revealing their thuggery to everyone.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I say to quote W "Bring it on." Why after all of your hard work and pleading on your knees for things to change they don't? I have asked myself those same questions after almost every election where the candidates that I have supported have failed to win.  This time I am backing off of the emotional backlash that I usually rely on as I felt the hurricane force of someone laying into me because of my personal and political views and so will not spew more vitriol into the current climate.  What I came to realize is that it really is up to me to do something.  No wailing and crying and gnashing of teeth will ever move the voters one iota.  With only 23% of registered voters in the state taking the time to cast their ballot, it appears that they are too busy watching Lady Gaga on YouTube (over 300,000,000 views) to get off their collective *s to take part in what well could be the last battle for freedom and liberty in this nation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So for me I will continue to fight the good fight, preserve the principles of the Founders, and look to November as the next battle in the war for Freedom.  When David Letterman asked "Who do they want to take the country back from?" I thought of Pilate's famous line "What is Truth?"&lt;br /&gt;Now wanting Freedom from an oppressive federal government, the New American Plantation, where all your needs womb (if you make it out alive) to tomb are taken care of as long as you give your allegiance to the slave &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;daddies&lt;/span&gt; in Big Government, is considered a radical stance, &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;un-American&lt;/span&gt;, unpatriotic.  Letterman is representative of the New Aristocracy where a subhuman can earn over $20 million a year by pushing the company line.  "If you're a good boy, Dave, you can have Barry join you on the set and we will see to it that those pesky sexual harassment charges disappear."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So will it be that the very idea of a Republic disappears and the only remnant of it is a series of portraits hung in some dusty museum where few ever go as it is so passe?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As for me, this day, I choose Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Harriet Miers had more qualifications! But the go along to get along Senator from South Carolina betrays all conservatives in this country with his vote.  Again I want to ask the good people of South Carolina to come to the aid of your country by getting rid of this man who will not support or represent the people of this land.  He represents the worst aspects of the ruling class as he no longer cares about the people. He is a member of the club.  As a Senator he has all the benefits and perks he will ever need.  He doesn't ever need to look for a job, worry about paying a bill, or for that matter partake of Obamacare as he is exempt.  Will the people wake up and send good representatives, citizen candidates to Washington before it is too late? Selling out the average American on tax day by moving ahead with a cap and trade bill....How dare he look the American people in the eye and tell them that raising their energy bills by a $1,000 a year is good for them, that it will restore jobs, that it will be good for their lifestyle?  I hope that if he has the nerve to show up at a Tea Party event that those patriots show him the door....if only there was a harbor near by to dump him in.  &lt;div&gt;November is a day of reckoning for those who betray the oaths they took to defend and protect the US Constitution.  Too bad Graham isn't up for re-election.  Only the arrogant who disdain the people act because they believe they are out of reach of the voters.  Is there anyone in South Carolina who will start a recall of this guy? Or in the least send money to support JD is his bid to unseat the other progressive Senator who believes that he has to make continual deals with the devil in order to satisfy some mythical bi-partisan stance.  I don't think there has ever been one of these deals that has included any conservative principles.  Just wait until the amnesty train leaves the station. The winner is always the last man standing.  Logic would dictate as well as personal experience that this model would have a correlation in all successful endeavors.  But then there is government.  All rules of logic seem to disappear when one enters this realm(Al Franken is a US Senator?  In what sick, twisted world?).  It is almost as if we have entered an alternate universe where right is wrong, black is white, and debt is stimulus. &lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;No economic model throughout history (yes, that even includes the imperial presidency of one FDR) has successfully moved an economy forward by strapping trillions of dollars of debt on the backs of its citizens.  In fact, the great unwashed will tolerate just about anything until the products and services they need become too costly.  Remember last summer?  $4 gas--no way bro--Drill here, drill now and drill, baby, drill rose above the din.  Even Pelosi and friends had to back down until the noise died down.  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;History does record the bloody impact of revolutions instigated by debt as a driver to force currency to diminish in value.  The French Revolution, the Bolshevik Revolution, and the American Revolution were not so much a dissatisfaction with monarchy as it was starvation and onerous tax burdens. The Wiemar Republic's inflationary practices paved the way for "change that you can believe in" in the form of the Nazi Party's serious stimulus program. Shovel ready projects such as roads, stadiums, and monuments provided little economic recovery for most workers but did feed the need until the Nazi's launched what would become the solution to the global Great Depression, WWII.  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;So today everyone knows that with the US fractional monetary policy you can only tease out the value of a sawbuck so far.  Right now the Federal Reserve is running its printing presses non stop and the amount of gold to paper is in the one one hundredths.  Rumors are flying through the international money markets about the concerns of our major lenders as to the soundness of our currency and the serious consideration of dethroning the dollar as the standard bearer for the world marketplace.  And yet, with this serious threat to our ability to function economically, the leaders inside the Executive Branch insist on recommending more spending and more printing.  You would think that they want this to happen.  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Step it down to Arizona.  Same thing: an out of control budget and an unwillingness to make serious cuts, sacrificial cuts, belt-tightening cuts on the part of state legislators.  If they could, many would print funny money so they could keep spending. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;My question for those who claim to be our representatives: Who among you is willing to stand in the gap for the average guy and demand a balanced budget regardless of the political consequences?  Is there anyone who is willing to risk it all to pick up the gauntlet of Jefferson, Washington, and Franklin? In Laura Hollis’s January 27th article, “Obama’s First Export: Abortion,” she points out the inherent racism of the policy: “African-Americans make up less than 15% of the U.S. population, but over 35% of abortions are performed on African American women.”  According to the Center for Disease Control—hardly a pro-life organization—1400 black babies are aborted each day in America.  That means over 438,000 African-Americans are sucked out of their mothers’ wombs and “disposed of” each year.  Using that as a baseline, in the 36 years that Roe vs. Wade has been the law of the land 15,768,000 have been clinically disposed of.   This is more than double the horrific holocaust that sent over 6 million Jews to their death at the hands of the Nazis!  And yet, the intelligentsia applauds the notion of the expansion of this policy of death as “family planning” or “reproductive choice” to world’s vulnerable poor.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What is even more ironic is that the first black to hold this office is exporting death to countries to which he can trace his own heritage, sub-Saharan Africa and Indonesia.  One wonders if this action reveals brokenness in the psyche of this great pretender. Does this deliberate call for planetary genocide of the most vulnerable bespeak an inner conflict with his tribal roots?  If he can only kill enough of these traces of his past, will he finally find resolve between his white and black ancestry? For those of you who were educated in public schools that is not a movie you saw in film class.  This was a man who is credited with bringing down the "corrupt" presidency of Richard &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;Milhous &lt;/span&gt;Nixon by leaking insider information to &lt;em&gt;Washington Post&lt;/em&gt; &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;columnist&lt;/span&gt; Bob Woodward (no he doesn't look a thing like Robert Redford who portrayed him in a movie you probably saw in your US history class).  To sum it up, Nixon was brought down for authorizing a break-in at the Democratic campaign office located at the Watergate hotel to bug the office so that the Committee to Re-elect the President (CREEP) could gain a competitive edge in the upcoming election.  The coup &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;d'grace&lt;/span&gt; was the fact that all conversations in the Oval Office had been taped and Americans were appalled to learn that their president cursed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Fast forward 36 years.  Today we have a sitting governor of Illinois who made the comments of Richard Nixon sound like playground chatter in comparison.  Not only did the f-bomb embroider every conversation, but the topic which has drawn national attention is &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;Blogojevich&lt;/span&gt; tried to sell a US Senate seat to the highest bidder.  The connection to the Watergate scandal is that the staff of the president-elect was in knee deep in this and there are tapes to prove it.  The level of felonious activities in the &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;Blogojevich&lt;/span&gt; matter is so high that I keep waiting for Bob Woodward to show up to do a series of investigative reports and maybe even write a book that becomes a movie on this stain on American politics.  I think it would be easy to get one or two eye witnesses to spill their guts to him and uncover what the president-elect knew and when he knew it.  After all Nixon was brought down for far less and he had tapes of only 35 conversations on the matter.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So what's the difference?  Simple, Democrats get a pass and Republicans are persecuted.  Whether its taking bribes and &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"&gt;hiding&lt;/span&gt; the cash in your freezer, running a &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6"&gt;prostitution&lt;/span&gt; ring out of your D.C. town house, having sex in the Oval Office or selling a senate seat, Democrats are never guilty.  They are misunderstood or have a difficult childhood. In fact, to have a potential felony hanging over your head appears to be the key to moving up the food chain of the Democrat Party.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If a Republican had been caught in the same manor as &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7"&gt;Blogo&lt;/span&gt;, that person would have been frog marched out in cuffs and thrown in the slammer with a $3 million bond. In January 2005, William Saletan posted to the Slate blog the following:&lt;br /&gt;“Larry Summers, the president of Harvard, &lt;a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A19181-2005Jan18.html" target="_blank"&gt;suggested&lt;/a&gt; the other day that innate differences between the sexes might help explain why relatively few women become professional scientists or engineers. For this, he has been denounced—metaphorically, of course—as a Neanderthal. Alumni are withholding donations. Professors are demanding apologies. Some want him fired.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We all know the rest of the story. He did get dismissed from the “fair and open-minded” Harvard University. But that ended up as a great career move. Now Summers is part of the One’s economic dream team. But the economy is not what this post is about.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As someone who defines herself as a conservative feminist, I am proud to say, ”Viva la difference!”&lt;br /&gt;I like the fact that there are real men in the world who fight wars, play sports, swill beer and admire women. Those same men supported Sarah Palin because they saw in her a woman who wasn’t afraid of being a woman. They also liked the fact that she exercised her choices to learn how to hunt and fish, but still remained true to who she is, a mom, a wife, and a leader. It was only the metrosexual men in academia; you know the same ones who supported BHO and gay marriage. These guys wax their chests, legs and arms. They wear designer cologne and would never be caught dead in Cabela’s. They know how to order appletinis and foie gras, but could never figure out how to field dress a moose. So where am I going with this? Read on.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One of the keys to the selection of BHO for the American Idol president was the unmarried woman vote. As I have pondered this, I wondered what would cause this voting block to vote against a man’s man and a feminist. Then I heard of Summers’ appointment, it all flooded back to me. There are differences in the sexes. Unmarried women want someone to take care of them to free them, if you will, from the drudgery of work and provide for their every need. Well with the dating pool full of metros that won’t pay for anything and are more interested in getting the name of your manicurist than your contact info, it must have been the fantasy of a metrosexual who promised to take care of them. Not only did he sip lattes but he would pay their rent! He would also pay off their student loans; provide child care, gasoline, and a monthly clothing allowance. I wasn't one of them. Let me explain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I first got to know Janet when she was Attorney General. Jon Kyl had successfully supported a bill on the Hill that was a landmark in helping victims of domestic violence. At that time I was working in an organization that had identified an effective violence prevention program and one of my board members had arranged a lunch meeting with Janet to see if we could engage her support for the work we were doing. The funding from the Feds was to be distributed by the state attorneys general.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My board member and I arrived at the restaurant early. We decided to go to our table as the place usually fills to capacity at lunchtime. Our meeting was scheduled for noon. By 12:15 we figured that she was a no-show. Just as we were about to order, in swept Janet and her assistant. She deftly worked the crowd on her way to our table and when she got to us, she took a seat that gave her maximum exposure. I watched her case the joint before she settled her attention on us.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My board member was a celebrity sucker and I could see that she lost focus and became a fawning fan. In a way this was perfect as I got to be in the observer's seat. As the conversation progressed, Janet described her recent campaign trip to Northern Arizona. She was testing the waters for a run for governor and had doubled down on a trip to that part of the state for official Attorney General business as an opportunity to survey the constituents on their prime policy issues. That narrative proved to be an insightful look into her motives and character.&lt;br /&gt;I won't get all GW on you and say I looked into her soul and.... but I will say that I agree with the poet, the eyes are the windows to the soul. What I saw during that conversation was validated over and over again by her actions as both AG and governor was the thirst for and need for power.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;During our conversation that day, she played my board member like a fiddle. Let me just say that this person had tons of cash and I am sure that Janet had done her preliminary "findings" on her prior to the meeting. She probably had dismissed me as I never have had tons of cash. And it was apparent that her focus and probably reason for the meeting was to make a connection with another significant donor.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's how she did it. Janet gave my board member her undivided attention. She directed her assistant to write down the significant points. She nodded in agreement at the appropriate time. The coup d'grace was when she told my board member that her assistant would be assigned to work on this project and he would report directly to her because this was an issue that mattered deeply to her. In fact, Janet stated, this was one of her top priorities for the year. Then she gathered herself up and signaled to her toady that it was time to leave. Being overly gracious, she held my board member's hand just a little longer and told her to keep in touch.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I pulled out my barf bag but my board member was convinced that we had a friend in high office and this project was a done deal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's the rest of the story. Nothing ever happened with the request. No phone calls, no letters of support, no funding, no personal appearances, no contact with the toady. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. But at the next board meeting guess who was wearing a Janet button?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you look at her tenure as governor, she was never an Arizonan. She followed the Democrat play book and depleted the state treasury saying it was for the children. She tested the waters and convinced enough people that she was tough on the boarder and crime. Never mind the facts that Arizona continues its educational decline, its loss of jobs and increases in foreclosures (as of this writing number 3 in the nation). Never mind that open boarders policies that have increased violent crime in the state. Never mind the dilution of the state Constitution to open the way for the imposition of more social engineering.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So America, be ready. As Secretary of Homeland Security, what is it that she is seeking to secure? Her power or America? Now that the media is claiming its first election victory, I should have known that they weren't finished. I thought that now that they had created a combination American Idol, West Wing, phony baloney empty suit president that they would make an attempt to return to journalism instead of screen writing. Boy was I wrong! Now they are colluding to create an aura of the return to Camelot, the reincarnation of the Kennedy administration.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Please, enough already. Let's set the record straight--Barry, you couldn't hold a candle to JFK. First and foremost JFK volunteered to serve his country as a member of the US Navy. He was a combat veteran and chose to enter even when he had a medical reason to be disqualified for service. The issue, a bad back, exacerbated by his war injuries, caused him a life of pain. He was Roman Catholic and ardently pro-life. He believed in limiting the scope of government and embraced tax cuts. He believed in a strong military and was staunchly anti-communist. He embraced civil rights and sought to end institutional &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;racism&lt;/span&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;BHO&lt;/span&gt; is anti-military. He has time and time again attacked our men and women in service accusing them of acts of violence and torture. He has vowed to withdraw troops and reduce the size of the military.  &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;BHO&lt;/span&gt; wants to talk with our enemies while limiting the development of defensive weapon systems.  As a young college graduate, &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;BHO&lt;/span&gt; chose to spend time organizing and building a political machine instead of serving his country.Instead of writing about heroes he had know &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;ala&lt;/span&gt; JFK's &lt;em&gt;Profiles in Courage, &lt;/em&gt;&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"&gt;BHO&lt;/span&gt; wrote two autobiographies outlining his drug use and radical associations.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No one is quite sure what religion &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6"&gt;BHO&lt;/span&gt; practices. I am not aware of any mainstream religion that embraces infanticide, unlimited abortion, euthanasia, gay marriage, curtailment of speech and forced redistribution of wealth. He uses racism as a tool in his attack arsenal and refuses to support the rights of those who don't support him politically. Cialdini, published the quintessential book &lt;em&gt;Influence&lt;/em&gt; which describes how to manipulate people through specific marketing techniques.  In this book he describes how people are put into positions of saying yes when they really wanted to say no.  The book examines how human psychology is subject to influences that reach into the subconscious and trigger actions that don't make any logical sense. Previously these techniques have been used by sellers to get you to buy something that you didn't want. In election 2008, these same techniques were used to market a presidential product and they worked. I guarantee you that buyers remorse probably set in by Friday November 7th when the ersatz candidate removed all previous "promises" from his website.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Republicans as usual believe that elections are about issues.  In a country that is center-right on all issues, it makes logical sense to think that the people would vote their values. So they spend their time and limited resources speaking to people about taxes, freedom, liberty and life.  In a fair and free election on issues they would win hands down.  What they are unwilling to admit, however, is that the left also knows this and refuses to engage in a discussion on the issues. They know that they are toast if they do so. Instead they create an image and sell that instead. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt; A few examples will suffice.  John McCain challenged Obama to join him in a series of town halls across America to showcase the different points of view each held and to give the people a chance to see the differences and make a choice.  But the tall drink of icy water refused. Why?  He knew that the campaign wasn't about issues.  For him it was about power.  Next point.  During the debates Obama looked like he was bored stiff.  He sat back and looked as his nails.  As one commentator put it, he looked like he was preparing to go on stage at an R&amp;amp;B concert. When it came time to speak, he regurgitated his script being sure to use "change" "George Bush" and "tax cut".  While it was clear that John McCain won each debate on ideas, those polled consistently said Obama won.  Why? He was the QVC of the presidential product line.  He didn't have to say anything because he had become a brand.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;By refusing public financing, his brand spent over $650 million dollars on a marketing campaign that had nothing to do with the truth.  We will probably never know how much came indirectly from Soros and foreign operatives (Al-qaida anyone?). So what is the lesson to be learned here?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;If Republicans keep acting like the British troops in the American Revolution they will continue to lose. Take a lesson from history.  While King George's boys marched in formation which was the gentlemanly way to wage war, the American revolutionaries used guerrilla tactics and won. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Campaign 2008 marked a new era in politics.  Republicans must reclaim the American brand.  They must use the best tactics. Don't buy into an ersatz product. Reagan knew how to do it. He paused in an eerie fashion that was reminiscent of an ancient Caesar, rotating slowly to drink in the nectar of adoration from those who had been promised anything and everything in exchange for their vote.  He raised his magician like hands as he continued to manipulate his subjects into their trance like state where they continued their insidious mantra.  Not once was any reference made to this country which had made his rise to power possible.  Instead, the crowd much like Romans who encouraged the deification of Caesar continued: “Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama……….” &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He proceeded to feed their hysteria: “I’ve heard your voices, I need your help.”  No matter what he said the response was always the same: “Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama……….”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; It was at this moment; perhaps, as he watched the frenzied mass of humanity that he made the leap in his mind to no longer see himself as mortal, but as divine.  Could it be that through the prism of his tangled psychosis full of oedipal impulses and father abandonment issues a new self identity emerged?  “Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama……….”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Perhaps this chanting triggered a memory of Louis Farrakhan’s proclaiming him earlier this year “ the messiah” and in combination with the dizzying drone of the faithful caused him to embrace this image as who he indeed is.  “Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama……….”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No human can be a god.  And when the frenzy dies down and the god Obama fails to deliver the manna from Washington, those who voted for him so they would be able to divest themselves from all personal responsibility find out is was a tissue of lies, will turn on him. When Ben Franklin emerged from the first Constitutional Congress and was questioned as to what kind of government he and the delegates had decided, he stated, “A Republic, if you can keep it.“ During the 232 years of this experiment in self-government, Americans have demonstrated the capacity of a free people to prosper, to pursue happiness and to worship God who had created them and endowed them with inalienable rights which no government could take away.  During these two centuries, when justifiable concerns were presented, the process of amendment woven into the constitutional framework allowed for those inequities to be redressed.  For example, civil rights and women’s suffrage were incorporated into the original document and became part of the supreme law of the land.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So what went wrong? We have always had revolutionaries and contrarians.   I can’t pinpoint the exact turning point, but I do know that the shift to embrace protected classes as more important than the majority redefined patriotism and those of us who love traditional values have been mocked, threatened, persecuted and scoffed. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; In our fears, we the people have allowed leftists to discover a full range of new “rights” which they then affirmed with judicial fiats.  At first it was the “penumbra” of rights in the 14th Amendment that allowed the Supreme Court to discover the right to murder babies in the womb and rename it a more sanitary “a woman’s right to choose.” This slippery slope led to, on Tuesday, another state created a right to murder anyone through “doctor assisted suicide.” Another state found another use for illegal drugs that could be legalized despite the mounds of medical research that shows otherwise. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Whatever caused the tipping point the result has been that the underlying formula of distinctive roles of the specific divisions within our constitutional system have been blurred. We no longer have the “walls of separation” among the judicial, legislative and executive branches of the federal government.  We have also forgotten the hard won victory of the founders who in their foresight reserved the bulk of the power of governing to the “several states.”  So within the Obama/Alinsky model of socialism now being sown into the fabric of our government, these poison seeds will soon sprout and grow as an entangling weed that promises to choke out any semblance of the original intent. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On Tuesday, 64 million “useful idiots” delivered the permission needed to complete the destruction from within.  So as the 57 million of us who voted against the Marxist agenda watch, we wonder what the gleeful will do as policies are implemented that redefine our government which will include the “negative rights” to restrict speech, press, religion, trial by jury, or any other of our freedoms that interfere with the Obamaites desire to nationalize industry and seize wealth, including individual 401ks and annuities, for the “common good.” How will those who trampled on the flag and set fires as a means to celebrate the selection of Mr. Obama react, when his false promises to take care of all their needs are shown to be what they really were; nothing more than a cheap campaign trick to “buy” their votes?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Rest in peace, America. During a heated moment during a debate with the Philippine representative, he removed his shoe and started banging it on the table.  He accused the diplomat of being “a jerk, a stooge and a lackey of imperialism.”  This of course caught media attention.  Khrushchev became the brunt of many jokes and comedic recreations.  But what wasn’t so funny was what happened later on the same visit. Khrushchev said in reference to capitalism, "Мы вас похороним!" (My vas pokhoronim!), translated to "&lt;a title="We will bury you" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We_will_bury_you"&gt;We will bury you&lt;/a&gt;". This phrase, ambiguous both in the English language and in the Russian language, was interpreted in several ways. Later, he would refer back to the comment and state, "I once got in trouble for saying, 'We will bury you'. Of course, we will not bury you with a shovel. Your own working class will bury you."            &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;With clarity that is lacking today, a majority of Americans decried communism and its weaker sister socialism. However, with the threat of the annihilation of mankind due to the amassing of nuclear bombs and a Defense Department policy of MAD (mutually assured destruction), a small cadre started to rally around a slogan, “Better red than dead.”  This group of intellectuals—at the time a fringe group of university professors and members of the Communist Party USA—were seen as an oddity.  No one could imagine that this ragtag band of disaffected souls would ever be anything more than a curiosity confined to San Francisco and Greenwich Village.  But they continued to write their books and poems, and teach. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Events began to unfold upon the American landscape that provided an opportunity for these leftists to gain momentum and traction. Jack Kennedy was elected president and the Cuban Missile Crisis with the disastrous Bay Pigs incident revealed a potential weakness in American security.  Children were practicing “duck and cover” drills in schools across America just in case an atomic bomb was dropped in the heartland.  Kids began to be fearful.  Parents built bomb shelters in their backyards. And the “better red than dead “crowd kept up the mantra.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kennedy escalated war in Viet Nam.  He was assassinated.  LBJ took advantage of a grieving nation and built the “Great Society.” School prayer was banned.  Jack’s brother Bobby took up the mantle and ran for president.  He was assassinated.  Martin Luther King took a stand against racism and he too was killed.  By now, the same kids who had been scared in elementary school were in college and they didn’t want to die.  A few of them began to distrust their country because of the war.  They formed groups like the Students for a Democratic Society, the Weather Underground, Black Panthers, etc.  They found unity through music by Dylan, Country Joe and the Fish and the Beatles.  And what appeared to be just college kids separating from their parents became a united movement by the “Better red than dead” leadership. These radicals introduced drug use as a way to “turn on, tune in and drop out.” It was the sacrament of their new “League of Spiritual Discovery.” Angst and fear was palpable.  The news media led by Walter Cronkite droned on and on about an unjust war and war crimes committed by US soldiers in Vietnam. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;College campuses became outposts in this new war to take back America.  Columbia, Brown, Berkley and the most poignant of all, Kent State, provided fuel to the image of an American society at war with itself. Kids whose parents had sacrificed to send them to these prestigious schools now turned their back on their country and began to carry Mao’s Little Red Book instead of the Bible.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The culmination was the 1968 Democrat Convention in Chicago.   The strengthen radicals pitted youth against “the establishment.”  Officers were now denigrated by the term “pig.”  The images created by the few rallied many. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Fast forward to 2008.   The same group of radicals now in their late 50s and 60s formed groups like “re-create 68” hoping to relive their glory years at this year’s Democrat Convention.  Many had predicted riots and violence.  But a curious event happened on the way to Denver, a student of the left, a Marxist, a socialist, a community organizer, a drug user, an internationalist was their party’s nominee.  And the best thing for the leftists, no one in America knew!  Why?  The children of the 60s now ran the media, the university faculties, the publishing houses, the Congress, and most importantly, the leadership of the Democrat party.  Today the party of JFK looks more like the SDS.   What really sealed the deal was “the cult of personality” on display at the acceptance speech of “the One.”  So the godless found a god to believe in.  And on November 4, 2008 they are poised to fulfill Khrushchev’s prophesy and turn our constitutional republic into a socialist super state. &lt;br /&gt; Yes, next Tuesday a red tide will cover this nation.  It is up to you, the American voter, whether it will be a red, white and blue tide or a suffocating socialist red tide that will mark the end of this great experiment in freedom and personal liberty. Two American citizens living in California think it is comical to hang an effigy of Governor Palin from the rafters of their home.  They think it is funny. They think it is free speech.  They think it is their right and after all it is just a Halloween decoration.  I saw an interview with them and these twisted individuals were laughing as they stood in front of their "decoration." They have no compulsion about saying they are supporting Obama. &lt;br /&gt;Then I saw in the next news story how the Obama campaign has tried to destroy two Americans for asking the wrong question, Joe the Plumber and the evening news anchor at a Florida TV station.  His campaign illegally used government computers to do the dirty work.  But this is not news worthy.  In the world of the Obamaites, there is only one definition of free speech: you can say anything as long as it favors the most merciful lord.  Everyone else watch out, the full weight of the government will be brought to bare on you should you question his philosophy, his associations, his Marxist redistribution fantasies, his ears, his middle name, his race, his wife, his birth certificate, his college records, his medical records, etc.  In fact, I wonder just what we are allowed to ask him.  He won't hold a press conference, he won't go on with Sean Hannity or speak with anyone who might ask serious questions.  Instead he is holding a Hugo Chavez style infomercial bought and paid for by his suspect donors. All the media stooges are solidly behind him and don't make any pretense of being objective. So don't expect anyone from the biased media to be on the air to dissect his words with their spin doctors. None of them will question the use of millions of dollars during a time when people are in need.  None will risk asking the most merciful why he didn't redistribute that wealth to his supporters who need health care, mortgage payments, car payments and jobs that he is so found of saying he will provide.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am still waiting for the messiah to distance himself from the comments made by John Lewis comparing John McCain to Democrat George Wallace; to apologize to Rush Limbaugh for his false ads to the Hispanic community; and especially to denounce the despicable display of his supporters in California.  But you know how old saying goes, silence is agreement. &lt;br /&gt;With so much at stake on November 4th, I cannot remain silent.  I urge you to wake up from your trance before it is too late.  The truth is right before you. In between he is practicing his talking points from the DailyKos and MoveOn.org for his upcoming debate with David Schweikert.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;em&gt;  &lt;/em&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Secretary:  Mr. Mitchell, a young woman from your church would like to speak to you.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Harry: Do you know who her parents are?  Have they given money to my campaign?  Forget it, I need a picture of a kid to put on my next mailer so send her in with the photographer.  Will you make up a packet of info for her so I can direct her to the ACORN office?  I'm sure they can help her find a way to exercise her right to vote.  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Young girl:&lt;em&gt;(a timid girl, probably not more that 14 enters the office)&lt;/em&gt;  Mr. Mitchell, I saw that you go to my church and I know that you have been a teacher so I was hoping I could get your advice.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Harry: &lt;em&gt;(This could be a goldmine for me.  She looks Hispanic.  Maybe she's related to a veteran.  I could get hundreds of votes through this one contact.)  &lt;/em&gt;Please do sit down (&lt;em&gt;He points to a chair in front of the desk) &lt;/em&gt;Of course, what can I help you with.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Young girl: Well, I don't know how to start but I'm ....pregnant.  I know what my mom and my priest would say.  My boyfriend and I plan to marry when we finish high school but the big issue is, he's not the father.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Harry: (&lt;em&gt;Boy my contributors at Planned Parenthood and NARAL will love me for this one!  This is a slam dunk!)  &lt;/em&gt;You know you are the one who has the right to choose to carry that child.  Right now it sounds like the timing of your pregnancy is not right.  You have your education and your future to think of.  I know plenty of women who have had the courage to make the choice to end their pregnancy.  (&lt;em&gt;Harry gets up and walks around the desk.  He puts his hand on the young girl's shoulder. And with the most compassionate expression he can muster, he continues) &lt;/em&gt;I'm glad you came to see me today.  I'll have my assistant take you to Planned Parenthood.  They understand and have the compassion to be with you all the way through the process.  In just a short amount of time, you will be back to your life and free to continue your education.  No one needs to know about this.  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Young girl:&lt;em&gt;(the tears begin to flow)&lt;/em&gt;  But the priest says its a sin to have an abortion...&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Harry:  I know, but I'm Catholic too.  You said we go to the same church.  Listen, priests just can't understand what it's like to be a woman and bear a child.  That's why I have always been a strong supporter of women's rights.  You have to put your life ahead of this lump of tissue.  It probably doesn't even have a soul (&lt;em&gt;struggling to remember what Pelosi said in her interview on this subject) &lt;/em&gt;as church scholars have said.  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Young girl:  Thank you Mr. Mitchell.  Would you mind going with me?  I really don't want to be alone.  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Harry:  (&lt;em&gt;Seeing the endless possibles to add to his voter roster and the great photo ops he can hardly conceal his grin, forcing the grandfatherly expression he is so accustomed to back on his face)  &lt;/em&gt;Of course, you can always count on me to represent you and make sure that this right is safeguarded.  It is a top priority for me. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;em&gt;The two get into a car followed by a photo team.  They get first class priority service when the people at Planned Parenthood see their favorite candidate arrive at the door.  Its all smiles  and hugs with people gathering around for the photos with Mitchell.  None notice the agonized look on the young girl who is filling out paperwork. You know the group, ACORN?  The community organizers you stood with in front of the Arizona Capitol when they launched their squeeze job on the Bank of America, I mean the more affordable housing campaign? I know you hate to let facts get in the way of your attack ads.  But did you know Secretary of State Jan Brewer said that ACORN submitted 20,000 faulty voter registrations in Arizona in 2006?  Those are the ones that were discovered.  Let's see, didn't you beat JD in 2006 by a little over 5,000 votes? Too bad Arizona now has a voter picture id law. With all of the media focus on voter fraud it will be hard to "discover" enough new votes to beat Schweikert in 2008.  No wonder you joined with the ACLU to see if you could get this voter mandate overturned. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;By the way, just in case you forgot since the House has been out of session for two weeks, you're the one who has the voting record of higher taxes for average working stiffs, benefits for illegals (including paying for their college education ahead of the citizens of this country), punishing small businesses with higher taxes, standing with the Pelosi-Rahm-Rangel crew to fund the corrupt institutions of Fannie and Freddie (including your support to increase funding for ACORN in the most recent bailout bill--thanks to John Shadegg you'll have to pay them out of your campaign coffers instead). Tell them to wait a few weeks and you will be the ousted representative and Schweikert will be representing the real people of Arizona. Anyone who watched your campaign two years ago thought that you were running to the right of JD Hayworth on the issues of fiscal responsibility and illegal immigration.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Let's look at your back-and-forth on illegal immigration.  You would strap on your side arm (Oh wait, I forgot, Democrats don't support the second amendment)...you would man your megaphone (O wait, I forgot, you don't speak for yourself)... you would have Sam Coopersmith go down to that border, and tell them to stop it.  Campaign 2008, now you are talking tough again.  Claiming to be a strong advocate of the military (a demographic calculation since as you state there are 65,000 votes, I mean, veterans in your district), you voted to send the National Guard to the border to....?  Oh yeah, you said "to keep them on the border."  What you forgot to include in your comments is that they were unable to enforce laws, use force or do anything that would actually stop illegal entry into our country.  In fact, under your backed policy, the National Guard was forced to take on clerical duties, not enforcement duties.  Your solution to border security:  "offering legal status to millions of illegal aliens." Did you forget that Arizonans by 80% oppose this?  (Better get Sam to spin this comment; it will probably be missing from the web in a matter of minutes.)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;How about guarding the public's purse?  Well, for cover, Harry "co-sponsored" bills with the Republican minority to extend Bush's 2001 and 2003 tax cuts.  This was safe because he knew that this would look good to Arizonans but didn't have a chance in hell to pass a Democratically controlled congress.  When you really look at the record, Harry never met a tax increase he didn't like.  If you peel back the veneer on the bills Harry supports, you will find a barrel of taxpayer cash he's waiting to use as payback to his supporters. You will notice that Harry never has the courage to say the "T" word.  Here's the new label Dems are hoping you'll buy into:  tax increases are no longer called taxes, they are called "economic stimulus packages."  So now Harry says he votes to increase taxes and spending because the money he robs from you "will be spent in U.S. schools." Said like a true educator that has never relied on anything other than the public trough to provide his paycheck, he really believes that the government is the job generator in the US economy.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Well, Tax and Spend Harry, I hope Arizonans in the 5th district send you back to private life.  But wait you'll still be on the public dole.  At 68 not only do you collect social security but your pensions from government. (Notice, they never have him in a speaking role—just a disembodied head with a fake smile.)  I was wondering just how long it would take for his campaign to rip off another play from the Democratic Reelection Campaign Playbook in their ads.  Lo and behold, here comes the “it’s for the children” ploy.  I always find it ironic that Democrats have no qualms about parading angelic children in misleading ads pretending on the one hand to be “for the children” while on the other hand are the very party who are eager to support abortion on demand.  After all didn’t the leader of their party, say he wouldn’t want his daughters to be “punished with a baby” if they made a mistake and voted four times against a provision to save the life of an infant who was the survivor of a botched abortion? But why let the facts get in the way of another attempt by the DCRII (Democratic Campaign to Re-elect Incompetent Incumbents) to insist they really care. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here’s a quote from Mitchell’s campaign site:&lt;br /&gt;“Congressman Mitchell has voted for legislation to expand health insurance coverage for low-income children provided by the State Children's Health Care Program (SCHIP), in the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act, H.R. 976.” &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So let’s parse the definition of just what the Democrats mean by children.  According to wording from the bill, these uninsured children include “pregnant women, parents and childless adults.”  In addition, the age of dependent children in this bill now has been redefined to include cuddly kids up to the age of 25.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And this isn’t all that was in this debacle.  Not only was the definition of “children” adjusted but so was the definition of “poverty.”  Under the Mitchell backed bill, the poor included families earning as much as $80,000 per year!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So how do you fund this program according to the DCRII script?  Raise taxes, of course! But here is where it gets interesting.  No one wants higher taxes, right? So choose a despised group and tax them. Well, who’s left?  The rich have been squeezed.  So let’s increase the tax on evil tobacco.  Funny, the party that has pushed so hard for the elimination of smoking now wants to pay for SCHIP by increasing the number of smokers!  To pay for step one toward universal government run healthcare needs to be funded by a 61 cent increase on tobacco tax requiring an additional 22 million new smokers. But what can you expect from a party that needs to register dead people, non-citizens and fictional characters in order to win an election?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Fortunately, W used his veto pen on this disaster.  But according to Harry, you would think the legislation passed. When charges against JD Hayworth were proved to be unfounded and all was thrown out of court, the Pelosi lapdog refused to apologize for the attempt his campaign spearheaded to destroy the character and life of both JD and Mary Hayworth.  But truth has a way of catching up with you, doesn't Harry?
